After checking, the Roberts coach did coach under coach Mullins at coeburn for a couple of seasons. To my knowledge he is at Pound at the moment.

I think it all boils down to this: They are gonna do whatever they want to do as far as picking the next head coach. There are the way things seem like they should go, then there are the politics that are involved. Palmer is clearly the obvious choice. But, who knows what they will do. I am beyond being shocked by things that happen in Wise County.

No, that is just a rumor.

Does it even matter they are never going to be better that 5-5, 6-4 and then it will be consolidation time, so just have a lottery everyone loves lotteries, so sell tickets and see who wins. In a few years Powell Valley will be history and the last coach want really matter anyhow.

The coach that coaches PV last will have a good shot at the consolidated job. Also, the second best football program in Virginia behind Hampton looks pretty good on a resume.

The new coach will be announced Tuesday morning--the new head coach will be notified Monday night.
